This game belongs to the famous DotA genre, which has not lost its popularity for many years. Basic principles of the game
The essence of the game is simple: at opposite ends of the map there are 2 warring castles. Castles periodically send minion fighters to fight the enemy along 3 main lines, these lines are guarded by towers.
You control a hero – a character who has unique abilities and can develop these abilities as he gains experience on the battlefield. As a rule, 5 players play for each team, each with their own hero, unlike the others. Heroes can level up to level 18, with each level they receive an increase in basic characteristics, such as the amount of health, mana, attack damage, etc. Also, with each level they receive one skill point, which they can spend on learning an ability or enhancing an already known one. In total, each hero has four such abilities (all these principles are familiar to any player who has ever played WarCraft III). Heroes also receive money for killing enemy minions, towers and heroes; this money is used to buy things in the store that strengthen our hero even more. The team that destroys the opponent’s castle wins.

Differences between LoL and classic DotA
In LoL, for completed battles (entire battles, from the first killed minion to the destruction of the enemy castle), you are awarded experience and points. In the game, you are a summoner – a person who controls the hero on the battlefield on your behalf (this can be seen in the official trailer of the game); The summoner and the hero themselves are often confused. The summoner can also increase in level, the maximum level is 30.

The list of heroes available for play is updated every week (10 heroes in total). If you want to play a certain hero constantly, then you will have to buy it. Also, before the battle, you can choose two additional spells that have a long recovery period, but can decide the outcome of the battle; Full access to all these spells opens at summoner level 12.
Now about the differences from classic DotA regarding gameplay:
— if directly in battle you attack an enemy hero under a tower, then the tower will open fire on you;
— “bushes” are scattered around the map, you can hide in them;
— each hero has a fifth unique non-pumpable passive ability;
– if you destroy the enemy inhibitor (the local analogue of the barracks), then super-minions will begin to emerge from our castle onto the line on which the inhibitor was located until the inhibitor is revived (it revives in about 5 minutes);
— you can’t finish off your minions;
— any spell can be strengthened with the help of artifacts or its cooldown can be reduced;
— the hero can teleport to his base at any time, the cast lasts about 5 seconds, and is knocked down by any damage;
— each hero also has 2 additional spells, selected before the start of the match;
– if you think that your business is rubbish and you will no longer win this battle, then after 25 minutes of the game you can start a team vote to surrender, and the consent of all members of the higher team is not necessary, the consent of 4 players of your team is sufficient.
Why I recommend this game to beginners

Fourthly, you can always try out a new hero in a game with computer opponents, who, although they are not very smart, are excellent for testing the character’s abilities unknown to you.

For example, I have level 19, and I inserted 19 runes of the second tier (tier 2) all for a bonus to attack speed. In total, I have a permanent bonus of +17% to attack speed. You can also collect runes, which give an additional bonus to the hero’s characteristics as his level increases.
